For the month of December, after coming back from Adelaide for a wedding, I repacked a last minute Europe trip!
In utter excitement , I packed my bags, got to the airport, and found out that there had been some miscommunication, meaning the travel agent had not booked my tickets to Germany. Utter horror came over me as there were no more tickets in either class and I had to leave back home alone and call my agent.
Not the best outcome, but my agent (who is amazing by the way, if you need his contact) actually ran back to the office and managed to get me on a flight to Frankfurt, where I took a train (running every hour) connected to the airport and managed to reach Stuttgart in time to be picked up a day later.
Yes , not many people travel during Winter to Europe, to sightsee, but more of to ski. The lack of crowds and tourists, made it all the better , not forgetting cups of Glühwein, mulled wine or flavoured, spiced wine. Too be honest, I had no idea what to expect, all I knew is that I could not miss out on the famous museums.
What I did know was that Stuttgart was famous for the Christmas Night Markets, which was packed with wooden crafts, people overdosing on chocolates and sausages of every kind of shape and size. I managed a walk around while the boys went to the Porsche Carrera Cup Night of Champions for A & B class winners, where they met Mark Webber and Patrick Dempsey.
