After 9 months of travelling to different tracks , going through the Malaysian and Shanghai Formula One, Singapore was a much awaited highlight of my year. Being in my hometown of Singapore, memories of the inaugural Singapore Grand Prix, took me back to the clear view I had of the pits while Massa drove off in his Ferrari while the fuel hose was still attached, causing a deafening silence that took over the boxes.

My second year , I watched the night race form the Mandarin hotel, and 3 years after living in Perth, I was proudly standing in the pits watching Yuey Tan for the DORR McElrea Racing team, start on the grid. There is no greater feeling, of looking out at Turn 1, wondering what it would feel like watching the red lights go out, while the rear engined GT Cup car burst alive. This would be the last year before the drivers would race down these straights in a paddle shift car, which will save the drivers tenths of seconds off each turn.

The weekend flew by, especially since I had the tough choice of career vs passion, as I took on a last minute job to film every fringe event happening in the city that weekend. My usual path, is spend all weekend with the team and driver in the garage, taking in to account the driver needs, as well as taking all the team photos. This time around I rushed from filming , missing the Friday free practice session, working around my late night schedules to make it for the qualifying and Sunday race day.

Sitting on the plane on the way to Las Vegas for Mr.olympia, the weekend whizzed by much like the drivers pushing their limits. It’s over as fast as it started. My quiet weekend put me into action, and everything smoothed its way out, though the emotions of the exhilarating and somewhat frustrating PCCA race left me with tears in my eyes. I feel truly blessed to be working while catching the wheels in motion.
